Test drove a smart car - t to the maxx2 - 01-28-2008 Such a slow piece of junk. I don't know who the lol would buy one. It's slow, small, and doesn't even get great mileage(33/41). For the price(12k-18k) you can get a MUCH better commuter car that gets ALMOST as good mileage, such as my g6 my dad got for 14k out the door, it gets 23/35, although I've average 40 on long trips. The g6 as an example comes with 4 doors and 5 seats instead of a tiny 2 door 2 seat coupe that is slower then heck. I was scared merging on the highway, and the manumatic with paddle shifters barely worked Pics are next to my fathers yukon XL Test drove a smart car - slaytanic - 01-28-2008 I've heard they are extremely solid and safe. Test drove a smart car - DAVEC-NITRO-RS4 - 01-29-2008 It's a politically correctness "statement" car. Nothing more. A novelty. Parking will be easier though! Test drove a smart car - motoxer4life - 01-29-2008 Hahaha, thats the wii car right? Test drove a smart car - bubbacola - 01-29-2008 I can't tell by the photo. Is that a 1/8th scale or a 1/7th? Test drove a smart car - Thirdgen89GTA - 01-29-2008 The smart car was never meant for highway driving really. Sure, it'll do about 90 to 100mph as a maximum speed but takes forever to go anywhere over 60mph. 0-60 is somewhere around 12 seconds from what I remember. about 70hp, but it weighs about 1800lbs or so. However, these cars were meant for city folk. They take up about as much room as a motor cycle. Easy to park as well. I'd rather have a turbo diesel in them, economy would probably get near 50/60mpg. However, if you had to park a car in the city a Smart would be a very easy car to park and deal with if all you did was drive int eh city. |
