Been a while since I've seen a topic like this, but I figured I'd post it. Occasionally in topics like these people stumble onto music they might not have heard before, I've found more than a few groups in that manner.
However, the most recent stuff I've picked up is Nightwish's new album Dark Passion Play. Listening to this album made me start listening to the older albums again to hear the difference between the new singer Anette, compared to the older vocal lead Tarja Turunen. If you like Evanescence, and haven't heard of this group you should search youtube for them.
I couldn't find alot of the songs on youtube yet, so I'll just post two of my favorites.

and of course, my favorite musician of all time, and my favorite genre of music, progressive jazz, dudes name is Al Di Meola, and he is amazing, I mean dude is just sick with it. The whole band is just freaking amazing.....total vituoso's.
