Getting Back into RC! - chicagopro3 - 04-28-2008 Hi everyone!! Let me introduce myself before i ask any questions or post topics! My name is Eddie! I'm 29, turning 30 in july! Married, and the reason i got out of RC for awhile! I live in Elmwood Park. Now it sorta starting to get warmer outside and have the time now it race, I'm getting my cars up and running!! My cars: Old and way out of date, but here goes: Losi XX-T CR, HPI RS4 Pro3 Both cars have various upgraded parts, and what not, Radio: JR XS3 Fm Synthesized ESC: GM Racing V12 Xc (currently using) Tekin G-12c III Tekin TSC 420-G2 I prefer on-road, and is there any on-road tracks that are any good? I'll travel far to race!! Do people still run brushed motors? Or is brushless the only thing to use now and days? Man, i remember Stanton Hobby Shop, when i was open, that place was my second home!! Sad that it closed shop!! Now i have to travel to the burbs for parts!! I'm sorta interested in drifting also, getting my pro3 ready for that type of set-up, just something different!! Is "drifting" popular in Chicago or Ill for that matter?
