the new whips - Gene - 03-06-2010 they're old but new to me. I sold both of my old BMWs to get a BMW Wagon. I think next year I'll convert it to a 5 spd, but for now it runs too good to mess around with it. But it will get coilovers, a bike rack and 18s like my last e36. Also new to me, is my ebay find of an early rc10t with the narrow wheels. I think I would place the kit anywhere from 91 to 92? It came with an old novak t4 esc, and futaba sport. the touring is a little dirty from some muddy parking lot the new whips - Gene - 03-06-2010 one other thing that I like doing when the weather breaks the new whips - firesprink281 - 03-06-2010 long board? the new whips - BJoe - 03-06-2010 Huh, looks like it's the same color as your last Bimmer! the new whips - Gene - 03-07-2010 BJoe Wrote:Huh, looks like it's the same color as your last Bimmer! It's the same color, and year. I bought the wagon with 101k miles on it. My other 3 series, with a smaller engine, I was able to get 207k miles out of it. The clutch was starting to get thin, but other than that I'm sure I could have gotten 40k more out of it. The wagon is okay, I drive about 65 miles a day to and from work. So anything that is nice usually gets beat from all the driving. the new whips - Gene - 03-07-2010 firesprink281 Wrote:long board? Yessir! I used to be really into skatboarding when I was young...Then I started growing, which really messed up my cordination with anything physical. So as a 30 yearold, I still like skateboarding but I can't use a modern style board, so the long board works out perfectly just for cruising around the 'hood. the new whips - BJoe - 03-07-2010 Hey Gene, did you go to the World of Wheels this weekend? There was an E-85 fueled M3 drag car there powered by a Euro version of their I6 that had a big turbo on it! the new whips - Gene - 03-08-2010 BJoe Wrote:Hey Gene, did you go to the World of Wheels this weekend? There was an E-85 fueled M3 drag car there powered by a Euro version of their I6 that had a big turbo on it! I completly forgot about WoW. Usually its towards the end of January and at Mccormick place. i guess the union guys started charging too much for stuff and they moved venues. I seen some of the build up of that car on one of the bmw forums. It's crazy how well a super/turbo car responds to the e85! the new whips - BJoe - 03-09-2010 The Steven's Center seemed to be a better location that McCormick PLace. The also had alot more rooms open that what we tend to get access to during the I-Hobby SHows. I swear every time Dad and I turned around there was another room with more cars in it! We got there just after 10am and left around 5pm or so and took more than 1500 pictures between the two of us on three different digital cameras.... After we got home me said it was a good thing we had digital cameras, can you imagine what this would have cost if it was on 24 shot rolls of conventional 35mm film:eek: the new whips - Gene - 03-22-2010 BJoe Wrote:After we got home me said it was a good thing we had digital cameras, can you imagine what this would have cost if it was on 24 shot rolls of conventional 35mm film:eek: I just started messing around with film since I can get some awesome slr cameras/lens for dirt cheap.. but processing and the cost of good film is crazy! I think it comes out to $14 for a roll of 4x6 prints (including the cost of film) for 24 prints. And out of those 24 prints, I may only have 3 okay pictures. |
