My new line of work! Wing Stop!
#1
I have been working with the Wing Stop franchise for the past several months and it looks like we will have a franchise agreement settled soon to open three stores in DuPage County and Bolingbrook areas.

Visit the website here!

http://www.wingstop.com/

From this point is all paper and contracts, but the next steps include site selection and approval. If all goes well, the first Wing Stop will open in Downers Grove in about 10 months.
Wish me luck!

Correct! They will allow multiple simultanious store development if you have good restaurant owning and operating experience. We do not, so at first they would only allow one store. Then 6 mos later - if your doing well- you can open another, and a month after that another and another till you're like the rich dude with 16 of em in two states.
But because me and my wife have a lot of marketable business management and accounting experience between us, they have offered us three and a huge territory from the start. Plus you have to be able to show some good liquid assets. We are able to fund this opportunity because my wife's accounting firm - where she was an owner - was bought out and they now have to purchase her shares which gives us the liquid capitol we need. Good timing too, because we both need a career change and want to own our own business.
Cool

There are three stores in Chicagoland right now doing an average of $20k/week in sales. That translates into a comfortable owner take home $. Three stores are capable of putting us well into the six figure range of annual salery. 10 months from now we will see. I hope I have time to get to the track now and then.Sad

So this guy walks up to a girl in a bar and asks for (insert "favor" here) if he'll give her $1000. She says "SURE!!!". He then says, "Will you for $20?"

She slaps him and yells, "What kind of girl do you think I am?". To which he replies,
"We've already established that. Now we're just negotiating price."

I will keep you guys posted! If anybody lives near Evergreen Park in Chicago, or near Roselle, you can stop in and check it out. I promise you, if you like chicken, you will be amazed at how good the food is. Even the fries! My personal favories are the spicy bbq, and the lemon pepper. I will recieve my development contract today for us to sign. Then the clock starts ticking. I appreciate all the support. This is a considerable investment and risk for us, but the rewards are huge.

Well we are still shopping for locations. We found 2 great spots on Ogden in Downers Grove, another good one on Maple & rt53 in Lisle too.
But we are undecided in Bolingbrook. Lots of potential, but some very over crowded or otherwise undesirable strip malls. Anybody know of a good spot to put up a Wing Stop in Bolingbrook?

Mike,

I have to vote for the Downers area. either Ogden or Butterfiled corridor. There are so amny spots and they are always busy around my office.

Maybe around the Best Buy plaza just east of Finley? If you build it, I will eat there!!!

I'll have to look into that. It may be outside of our "mapped" territory, but I can always plead my case,
Most important criteria for a store like this w/80% carry out is visibility, easy access (can turn left and right in and out), parking, rent.
