how about exhaust pipes for the os engines and how about starter boxes for them. any recommendations? and i was just wondering like i have a rotostart for my savage x. say i had a rotostart on the os engine would i still be able to use a starter box or do i have to have a special setup for a starter box? Like can i put a pullstart on the engine and use that when i feel like it and use the starter box whenever i feel like it?
Thanks alot, Nick.
p.s. Sorry for being a post whore im new to racing and im just trying to learn alot of stuff about it rwal quick before i get my 8ight.

Os 2050, JP-1, JP-3
and how about starter boxes for them.
For an 8ight, the most recommended is the Mugen starter box

You could, but it'd potentially reduce the speed of your engine. With a bump box you have the least resistance in the engine therefore the most power.

Theoretically yes.

see i dont know what does the "p" after the name mean pull start?
And if i dont get one w/ a pullstart can i use a starter box for a litle bit then put in a pull start or do i have to just buy one w/o the pullstart?
Is there a special name for an engine that works well w/ a starter box like o.s. .21... sb or somethin?

thats how almost every single motor comes, the alternative would be a threaded shaft which was an old GT thing

That has nothing to do with it.
Starter boxes, just about any car can be lined up on any box. I suggested the mugen because the 8ight has a semi-small flywheel opening. The mugen box is supposed to have a slightly smaller wheel that works great with the 8ight.

Get the VG. Make sure it is non pullstart, and get a starter box. That will be the best overall setup IMO. I had pullstart motors and non pullstart motors..... non pullstart is just far more reliable. (Less parts to break in/on the actual motor.)
