Gotcha. that stock motor will be fine for indoors. You probably won't be at the top of the a-main with it..... but it isn't going to hold you back much in the beginning. Get used to the truck, learn to drive it well. Upgrade things that are going to make the truck handle better first, and then when you feel like the motor is holding you back, upgrade that. Indoors, and just getting it, you should be fine.

Dan i dont think that motor will hold him back in racing as much as the actual truck would, its basically an inferno 7.5 with longer arms, not much like the STR at all

If thats the case just get it setup as best as you can and have fun with it. That motor will be more than enough.
