We came, we saw, we went home after about 2 hours. Actually it wasn't the cold that got us. It was the freezing sleet we got hit with. THAT was cold.
With the snow there wasn't much jumping. The ice drifting was fun though! And well, we had lots of drag racing going on.

We are still bashing, but now we have MOVED!!
The grove we usually use has been shut down for "Deer Managment"
We are still searching for a new place to bash throughout the winter when weather permits.

Actually we'll be out there today!
Check this map for the spots we are using.
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/thirdgen89...hspots.jpg
The original bash spot is closed for deer managment till March or so.
The temporary spot we chose last week is in the entrance off Arlington Heights rd. But its not a good spot, lots of leaves/mud = bad for electric vehicles. Also the parking lot isn't a good one for pavement pounding either.
The proposed bash spot is off Higgins, first entrance just east of the highway on your right. You stay to the right and keep on going till you get to the boat docks. There is a parking lot that is perfect for our use.

We are now using the "proposed bash spot" at the entrance near Higgins(Rt 72) and Rt 53. Its the first entrance located east of 53 and 72. When you enter the Grove stay to the right and follow it till you get to the boat docks.
Click on the link for a pic of the new bash spot.

Since you are coming from the north go South on Rt 53, exit east (left) on higgins.
The entrance to the preserve is JUST after you turn left and go under the highway, turn right into the preserve and stay to the right till you get to the boat docks.
Don't forget your 8.
We start at 11:00 now, but most people don't show until 12:00 anyways.

The new spot is really good. Not to many people bother us there... Just got to watch out for one part of the curb where it met the grass... Otherwise this past sunday was the best yet....

Welcome to the Forum Todd. Tim and I usually update this thread before the bash with times or important crap. Or any cool stuff we'll be bringing.
All I have to say is NovaROSSI 528XR powered LSP time.
New spot off higgins, we'll be there between 11 to 12 in the morning/afternoon.

Its good, the engine is in good shape. I haven't mounted it yet, but it took a little over 1 minute for it to flop over when I did the flop test. My arm started shaking from holding it JUST by the crank shaft.
I need to pick-up clutch shoes and some clutch bell bearings since I don't have any. I do have a 15t bell I'm going to try. I think the motor should have no problem with it.
I'll be doing final assembly tonight and seeing what I can get out of it. Hoping to get it finished for a trip to LH thursday. Though all I have are Crimefighters for the LSP. I have a set of 40series CF's as well but no 23mm adapaters to mount them. I think the regular CRT offset ones will do better as they are narrower so I should have more steering. I still dont' know what tires are good for the indoors, I haven't been looking probably should have.

panther is coming out with a brand new MT tire, the "Clay Switch" ....that's going to be THE tire for indoor LHR....They should be out soon...
you could use the crimes in the meantime, they just push under power through the turns.

Bill, You and Tim heading to LH on Thursday? I am thinking about it too. LMK if you are planning on being there and when. I'm thinking it will be late afternoon for me. 4-5pm
Ive never been there before and it would be better to go if someone I know was going to be there.
I'll have the newly completed matrix and my revo if I go.

Yeah, we'll be there.
We are going to BWW tonight, so I'll be picking up the few things I need to make the LSP go. And I'll have the buggy.
So far the plan is possibly Tim, Mike, and myself. And anyone else from this area is welcome to come with us.

We'll probably leave between 5:00 and 6:00 to arrive around 6:30 or 7:00. We hope to leave earlier, but if you want to hitch a ride then you are welcome.
I don't get out of work till about 4:00 today so I gotta run home, let the dog out, then head over to Tim's and we go from there. It also depends on what time Mike finish up his runs.
You got PM Jeff.
*also, sneak peak of the toy for sunday.

At the new bash site, you just have to watch out for the trees and the high curb off the grass, otherwise that spot works out well for now until they open the other spot back up... Anyone know a good place to race on dirt around here, besides LH?
