6061's bite hard, useful for indoors...outdoors you definitely want the 7075's....not to mention they last longer because the AL is harder.

ill prolly end up with the 7075's because i probably wont get to run very much between now and outdoors....

the softer material will have much less slippage so you can use a lighter spring and get a more solid engagement. Also since there is less slip you will be able to drop motor temp because of less heat being generated in the clutch

soo the 6061's will cost more cause ill have to replace them but they will make less headaches in the long run?

well they both have their plusses and minuses try a set of both and see which suits ur driving style better

im sure mike makes a great point but just run what will last you the longest untill your skillz sharpen and you can tell the difference between clutch setups

It sounds like the only real downside to the 7075 ones is that if you run too stiff of springs that your motor will run hot.....

Yeah, I've seen him. What part are you talking about? When the buggy's upside down or when the wheels are on the ground. I don't see the tires making contact with the ground, seems like they like to look at the ceiling an awful lot.

He has highs and lows all in one race. When I raced him that damn thing was upside down every other turn..... though he did get to the turn before me if that counts for anything. :confused: |
