I was undecided going on the site, but then in the spur of the moment, chose the jato.
Convince me not to buy a traxxas 4tec 3.3

good call, now you can do 60mph in the street and blaze across the driveway and into the yard without missing a beat.
4-tec you would have been stuck strictly to the street, it gets boring.

The only thing I ever heard "odd" about the Jato was the wheel-tire size was unique and hard to find options for, other than Traxxas items, but I never looked to see if it was accurate info.

I know they look cool!

I had a Jato 2.5R. It was indeed quick, however I got tired of it because all it did was shred tires, and go fast. Oh yeah, couldn't stop either!
Rear wheel braking only at 60mph+ is not good if you have to stop in a hurry! Imex has some tires for the Jato rims, and then there are the traxxas options as well.

Yeah, I have a few spares from my 2.5 jato that is in pieces, which will be for sale soon.

And that is exactly why I bought the jato instead of a n4tec. You can go offroad, somewhat. But 65 and 70 mph are not too far off from eachother. They are both ungodly fast.

60mph = 88 feet/second.....that little sucker will be outta sight in a few seconds if you aren't careful!
A football field every 4 seconds at 60mph. Anything faster than that should be intentionally airborne.

Heh, the 3.3 4tec at its claimed 75mph would do 110ft every second, or a foot ball field every 2.7 seconds.
But thats okay, the Bugatti Veyron covers a foot ball field every .8 seconds as at 253mph its covering 371ft per second.
