Hey, just yacking out loud here....but why does it seem that so many new RC'ers, and I'm not picking on young guys here, always "ask" for parts and things they need, instead of offering to buy what they need??? Is it that they got into this RC hobby not fully understanding what it costs to run? Or are they so used to sucking on dad's wallet that they don't actually have money of their own? The reason that the guys that are in RC for along time have so many parts on hand is that they have invested into their gear. They didn't get it all by going around with their hands out asking for what they need.
Now I can appreciate that not everyone has a car and can't run to Al's, or they don't have a credit card, so they can't buy it online, but jeez, stop the begging already. If you broke it and you don't have the spare part, or the money and means to go get the repair part, save up until you do. Nobody said this RC hobby was going to be cheap. If they did, I sure missed hearing it. Sorry, felt like ranting a little. Done. whooo sa....who sa...who sa serenity returns. |
