Hi everyone. Sorta new here. I was checking for tracks and just realized that Tinley Park and RSJ in Libertyville are closing up. Seems theres no where to go anymore. (I know theres Joliet and DeKalb, but I live in Oak Park, and Oak Park HT doesnt race anymore, and everthing else is so far away.)

BUT, then I come across this site and see that you guys bash down in the forest preserves. I drive by them every day on my way to work! So, I think I may try showing up to this. (BTW My birthday is 11/3) I don't think I'll have my T3 ready to play, but I'll try and bring something out. Mostly I want to meet people that are into the hobby like I am. So, maybe I'll see you guys there. Thanks.

Seriously ...this is a family/ friends type of event, there won't be any strippers (don't wan't to scare of the new arrivals)

im hpoing to get out there gotta see if i can get a ride with Notochord were friends so i can talk to him bout that i would love to be out there for this i can bring the micros for eveybody my mamba 8k mini-t basher stock mini-t maybe an onroad mrs4 for fun and an addition im getting in a trade this week a sportwerks mayhem 1/8 buggy that i gotta work on. hopeing to be able to get out there i will be there if i can get a ride somehow....

It figures... the one time I don't chime in about a date, and you guys pick the date I'm gonna have trouble making!

I'll post it up on the news page Monday night.. should bring a TON more people. There were 10 people at that last mini-bash I was at a few weeks back that didn't know anything about the berwyn bashes.

Hey guys, new to the site, but this is what I came here for. Finding something to do. Looks like this is going to be a good time and I will definetly be there. Won't be able to stay all that long into the afternoon, but I will be there. I'll have the LST, Savage w/ picco 26, and my mini-t. Trying to get my brother in law to come with and he will have a HPI MT2. This sounds like a ton of fun.

I've poured water out of a MOTOR before after a nice rain bash. It still ran fine afterwards luckely

As for food I don't know what I will bring (I doubt we'll have the luxury of having a Dominicks or Jewels within walking distance). Beer, food, more beer, I guess I figure it out before then. :p:

if you can bring stuff, cool....if you can't don't worry about it. Especially newguys that are coming out for their 1-2 time, don't worry about bringing stuff if you can't/don't want to.

Us Vets will take care of you and fill your belly with brats and beer!

If your too young to have a beer, we always have tons of pop and water (maxx) j/k

Oh and if you want to pick stuff up when you get there, there is a jewel about 3 blocks away from the bash site! The jewel is on the NW corner of 40th and Harlem (if you would like to reference the map on post 43

I don't think anyone ever said what equipment we need, I normally bring a canopy, chairs, table, extension cord, tool box, etc.?

Last time we bashed in the water I had a little water residue in the tranny, nothing major, I dissasembled the entire truck afterward anyway.
