i used to run the craddocks, I hated them worst brakes i ever put on my car. Tony D said the same thing; JUNK IMO

let me know how that works rocco, i know mugen has different pads but i was also looking to get rid of them heavy disks, rotating mass.

i also have their clutch bearings. There great how there rubber sealed and all. These ones ive had on for 2 gallons now and theyre still going strong.

u should change them at a gallon i change them every week just to be safe

ya i was thinking about that too al, the steel rotors are much heavier. I know kyosho makes fiber pads that are hella expensive but last a long time

oh i never knew that

yep the disks are heavy. i think with the stick on pads, mugen or kyosho will have a brake that hits hard.

on the bearings, when ever i pull the motor out i change the bearings, to clean it or change shoes, for 2 bucks it seems like a small price to pay after spending how much time and money to go race for the day .

so when you use the ttr brakes do they fit inside of the stock guides?
Reply
Stockers myself. I had the Avids before and well I know some here saw what happened to them. I never had any braking power with them. First race, they were fine. After that, just all down hill.

The stockers have held up well for me. I have seen someone else making CF disks. Amain has them up in the mugen hop-up section. I will try to find the link and post it here later.

Reply
But the losi ones arent aluminum like the mugen
Reply
u cant run the guides with the ttr brakes. all they do is create drag anyway

the mugen disks are steel not alum, you can use the stock guides if you open them slightly when using avids, but if you choose to go with the ttr's or just dont care to run the guides flip the center diff mounts over and remove the two screws and guides. drew i dont understand why you had problems with the avids? cory, ira, john, rod, and i are all using the avids and none of us have any problems. next month this car will be a year old and im still on the same disks.

But anyway. Even after a sanding. They still had no stopping power. I dont know what the issue was. And I had finally put so much brake in that I burned one up.

The stockers have done well for me. I change the pads every two months or so depending on how much I have raced and how crappy they look from fuel/grease/dirt and so on.
