New Clutch
#1
I just got a new clutch for the REVO. its a 3 shoes m2c Racing clutch. I was looking on how to install, and it said somewhere you need some little shims on the bottom of the shoes. Where do I get those? Or what should I ask for at Leisure hours.
LSP lots of Khz, Werks .28 8 port.

Im having a lot of issues with the clutch shoes, (3 shoe clutch style) seeming like they walk off the flyhwheel a bit and rub on my clutch bell. Should I just shim it out from the flywheel, some, and put a top-hat on it?

Just get the mip clutch for the revo. Mine easily lasted me gallons and never slipped. I usually took it apart every half gallon or so and lightly sanded the bell and shoes, checked the bearings and just kept going. It never failed me, never gave me any problems. When it was time for a new set of shoes I remember I reused the spring off the old set and kept the new spring as a spare lol. Still never any problems lol.

i run the mip 3 shoe clutch on my buggy i have almost gone through a gallon of fuel and its still holding up. i like the fact it doesnt tear up clutch bells and i dont have to deal with crappy clutch springs

the problem is its brand new...if it wouldnt drag it would be sweet. I emailed him hopefully there is something I can do besides shimming my clutch bell way out... but it seems they always start to walk out IDK what the issue is, im new to this style of clutch

Ive noticed that diffrent flywheel nutz have that groove that the spring sits in spaced from the flywheel diffrent. In other words, a mugen clutch nut has the groove closer to the flywheel than a sportwerks nut. When I ran mugen clutch and springs on my sportwerks flywheel and nut, shoes would walk off also. At first I bent the springs to pull shoes closer to flywheel. Eventually I got the mugen nut and all was well.
Maybe you have a simular issue. Hope this helps.

UPDATE: It appears I installed the shoes flipped upside down, and wrong way. I dont know how I did that must not have been paying attention. Works GREAT. I'd reccomend it, for real.

Great Smooth Engagment. I think I have about the right springs on there, it engages after it spools up a bit. I still need to tune my engine though, other than that its fast.
