It doesnt matter really. No one is going to build one and no one is going to race one in the truggy class.

Only person that does is bobbo and he keeps it around the middle of the pack as long as he doesnt screw around or break LOL.

I would have been in the truggy A with my Revo if I didnt have a dang black cloud over me today. TZ is qiuck as hell. Revo is alot harder to setup than my truggy fo sho.

well...even if you "hate" it. Its still like the most advanced engineered MT out. I think if you could get the revo down to about 7.5-8lbs without sacrificing any durability, it'd be alot easier to hunt down the truggys. But todays truggys are engineered, not Buggy hybrids. Its a dream thats dying out. but keeping in the middle of the pack with a revo is respectable, and should be commended. go bobbo. lol
LSP lots of Khz, Werks .28 8 port.

Been busy, I think I'm going to try and make it on the 17th. With work and what not I don't know. You haven't been racing at all have ya Roc?

Better stay on topic. No a revo won't make a good race truggy. Money pit, doesn't hold together. I've probably got a grand in mine and it sits on the shelf because no one races monster trucks around here anymore.

leaving them at home won't make a class. lol

Revo just isnt built like a truggy is. its fast when setup with upgrades. but now days it'll never catch one.

Never thought I'de have this many posts in a Revo thread but I finally got this thing dialed in fo sho. I went to practice last night after rebuilding a few parts of the Revo that broke on raceday[alum pillow balls, worn steering parts, knuckles].

this truck cornered fast with no on power push at all. I loosen the screw for the 2 speed so I only run in 2nd gear. The OS 18TZ has plenty of power for this and the truck was easily clearing all the tabletops and the front doubles.

Durability is the only issue i'm having when I push this truck hard. All drive and trans pins seem to be ok so far but the knuckles seem to be wearing prematurely at the point the axle goes threw the wheel bearings. New knuckles and bearings may not last as long as expected and alum parts may be in my future.

After all is said and done I had alot of fun pushing this thing hard as hell. I believe with my setup I can get similar lap times with my Revo and my Truggy. I will have a bit more maintenence on the Revo but parts are cheap and readily available. I can see how Bobbo got so addicted to his race revo.

the REVO is fun. Im curious, are you running the center diff? If not its worth the investment, IMO. Just dont run less than 300k oil in it.

I've heard of knuckles, and wheel bearing issues. the RPM axle-carriers are beefier and have over-sized bearings. seems to solve that problem for the most part.

Well i just dont get why everyone is having problems with the knickles. I have had mine for a while now and have never had a problem with them. I have a center diff, sway bars, traxxas steel cvds. rpm arm. and the stock knuckles and have never had a problem with them. My truck runs great. I have not yet tried out the sway bars yet, can't wait to do that, we are going to LH on tuesday to try em out. As far as the keeping it in second gear, i will try that out too. But before the sway bars, she ran right with some losi 8's and other truggies. yeah granite, i dont know how good those drivers were but, i kept with them, and im not the best driver.

DUB, thanks for the input on the RPMs. They are a little pricey but if they come with a decent warranty i might check them out.

After running this RaceRevo last night im xcited about racing it as long as she stays together.

I am running a center diff with the 50-300-30 setup. Only breakage last night was a traxxas clutch bell that grenaded the teeth off. New bell and i was rippin it up again.

ROC, Get a bit of freetime and race again sunday to keep your sanity bro. All work and no play_______________________.......

Im seriously considering rpms after i continue to torture test some new stockers.

My damb MBX5R better be here today. Have not raced the premier class in a while and need to make sure my skilz are in check. Someone other than joerocket needs to beat up on GQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont have them personally, but I was given rave reviews at the track about them, mostly because of the bearings. but if you look at them they are more reinforced in areas.
