Owner used people to build a track and fired them all when it was done. Weak ass move for sure!!!! I would never trust this clown or endorse his gay barn.

I was working with them to build a crawler track... Thursday I get an email asking me to come up and discuss everything with them, Friday I get an email saying the track is closed... so whats the truth?

Reading over on RCtech, the guy fired everyone and is running the track on his own?

Big mess of follow-on threads. Cheesecake got into the mix, too. Sounds like a good think to let settle out and figure out after a bit.

Fired folks talking bout "opening a track". ....

I think you're right.

It is probably stuff that goes on everywhere, but we just happen to see some of it in this case. To me, it's pretty much about results, and the result is that there is now an indoor running area at Barnyard, so that's all I know.

I slandered? You sure? I don't know who you are, and I've never even met you. All I know is you post on rctech and here.

Who what when and where?

Please be specific.

Hey Cheesecake, I just quickly reviewed all your posts on rctech for the last two weeks and I don't see where you and I even had any discourse in that time. You mentioned I slandered you two weeks ago?

Am I missing something?

Something in the last month or so stuck in my mind where you might have said something that could have been taken as having a dismissive or potentially insulting tone. I would have to go look for it. Maybe it was in the DirtDawg money race thread? UPDATE: Nope, didn't see it there. YOU were accused of over-analysis, but that's someone who hasn't met me.

I'm pretty positive cheese will let me know what/when/where when he checks back in and/or answers the PM I left him.

I generally don't berate or "slander" people when I post on the Internet...but let's see what he says.

Thanks Bob.

What?

That's not right. You can't tell everyone here I slandered you then not talk about it and then just go and delete your original response.

I either slandered you or dissed you or I didn't.

Fill me in man, when was I malicious to you?

If it's "not worth your time", why even make your last response, you could have just ignored my replies and went on with biz as usual.

I was just looking at my emails and I got one with his response that was posted before cheese deleted it here.

Now I see his issue and I can understand why he's a bit upset with me.

FWIW, Cheese I think your original premise had some legs, but I didn't slander you.

If you'd like to air it out here that's OK with me, but I think you took some things personally and maybe you shouldn't have, because that wasn't my intent.

This would be a good place to discuss what I said and what you took issue with because we'd have an audience of racers and people who attend tracks. You are on one side and I'm an observer looking in......

I'm not sure why but these chitown forums are kinda dead and vanilla anyway, recently, so it minimally could inject some life into them if we discussed the issues here.

I'll start if you'll continue and we could even create a new thread to make it clearer for everyone else.

I'm game if you are. We could both gain and so would anyone else paying attention.

In the beginning, Barnyard opened.
Conflict between ownership and management, management departed.
New management, same ownership.

The nitty gritty details are in this rctech thread which thankfully is currently on it's way to the second page threads in the WI/IL racing forum on rctech:

Barnyard Rc Raceway - NEW INDOOR RC TRACK - ELGIN, IL - Page 11 - R/C Tech Forums

To follow what is currently happening at Barnyard you should now follow this thread on rctech:

BarnYard RC Raceway just track talk. - Page 3 - R/C Tech Forums

The Elgin facility isn't and probably won't be posting here in chitown so use rctech.
