Our next race is coming up this weekend on Sunday.

We should have conquered our start-up bugs from the first race day. Although you might want to come prepared for the new bugs -- mosquitos can linger around in the morning nowadays. We'll try to have some extra mosquito spray on hand.

Last week, we had about 25 racers. Some may not make it back and some new racers may show up. Still, not a bad showing at all. The Slashes were particularly plentiful.

It's organized racing, just like we all know and love, not just open practice.

We have 13 (so far) pre-registrations (RCSignup.com - RC Pro NCCS Club Race 2) for the second of the 6 RC Pro NCCS Slash points series races. Make sure to go to the link above and sign up (register at RC Pro if you have not already). The last time, we had 19 entrants show up and make the biggest (as far as we know so far) showing of the series' tracks!

This second NCCS race is the 14th of June. If you have not been on the Outback dirt yet, there is open practice this Sunday, June 7th.

Other classes run on these days. Just because it is NCCS day does not mean everything else takes a back seat. All classes will run.

I wish to make it out. I have only met excellent DirtDawgs so far. I would like to learn from your track since it is sort of a similar story.

Hey, what "size" gas-powered water pump do you guys have, like 5hp?

I think our pump is more like 10 or 15 hp. We hook it up to our underground pipes or just straight to it when we water. When we use the underground pipes we can get the 2 hoses to spray a good 25 to 30feet. When its directly hooked to the pump its a spray of around 35 to 45feet.

Thanks. I have been putting together a package (found a water pump forum: Pumps And Tanks Forums! - Watering a Race Track) with a 5.5 hp pump that I think will work.
Do you have a feedback pipe going from the pump output back into the tank to keep the pump flowing when your hoses are off?

Some of the area tracks are ready to try out a chemical called TrackMoist to see if it helps the dirt stay wey longer. I got my sample bottle in the mail. Is that something you guys would like to try out? J-Tec said they are trying it out now.

We would love anything to try and keep the track surface a little harder and wetter through out the day.

As far as the pump goes...it has a tube running from the pump to the tank or ditch we have filled with water, I am not sure what you ment but there is always a tube going to the water source and one coming from to pump to shot the water out. We shut down the pump and close the vaulves when we are done.

I could pour out some of my sample chemical and give it you you, or you could talk to Don Williams:

Hi.

We do all the normal electric classes -- 2wd, 4wd, and truck in tenth scale. Sometimes there is electric 1/8th. Then there are many slashes. There is a schedule on the homepage of outbackrc.com, but I'll paste it here too. There is a special Slash points series run by Rc Pro that we are a part of (see here: RCSignup.com)

Sadly (?) we have no nitro classes. But, then again, the racing fee is zero dollars.

This weekend (12 July) will be the third of 6 RcPro Slash series races. Since 2 are dropped, and 4 count, this would be the last race to start up with to get max points -- races 3,4,5, and 6. You must sign up at rcsignup.com and be an entry in the races -- any questions, just ask.
