Yeah. I think everyone can use some more power.

I just got back from my LHS. They have trinity horsepower in 20% and trinity monster brew in 20%. They don't have O'donnels at all. They said that they don't carry the 30% because it doesn't sell.
Going to have to try my other LHS.

yeah on rt.7 and 111th....they SHOULD carry 30% although I've never been there. I've only heard of it from Firesprink and newguy, maybe they can chime in.....
if worst comes to worst, Monster Horsepower 20% aint too bad

if you go 30%, use a colder plug. go mccoy 9
the only 30% ed has is odonnell. he has trinity, but doesnt keep it in stock enough. the new hs in orland park is nicer. but he is just getting started so he only has one of all parts for traxxas. once he learns what gets ordered more hell stock more of them. there is also pats on 95th st. but i wont go there any more. they never have parts in stock. the past 5 times ive gone they didnt have what i needed. not even a 1/8th pipe!

So should I try odonnel or wait for trinity. I pretty much have the weekend to get the fuel. My engine might be here saturday if I'm lucky, but monday or tuesday for sure.
I was just at pats. Thats who says they don't sell the 30% because no one buys it. And the only pipes they had were the traxxas tuned pipe and i think a mip or duratrax one. They have kids working there. Not the best salesmen. Ed's is nice. So far they didn't have to order any of my parts. All in stock. Only problem is that he and someone else is usually the only one working there.

How much deeper is the os head than the 2.5? I am just wondering because I don't have a long glow ignitor.
I will get a picture of it if you need one when I get back. I am on my may out in like 5 minutes.

I went to hobbywarehouse. I got trinity platinum 20% to break it in. Its not good to break it in with 30% right?
Also, the guy there said that you can't run 30% with O.S. engines. He said that you need to buy some kind of gasket that attaches to like the bottom of the head, then you can use 30%. Is this true?

Is this true? thats true for pretty much all engines, I'm pretty sure it has to do with compression, but I don't run an extra gasket.

I never re-shim the cooling head/head button. I always use 30% even for break in.

I already bought the fuel so I guess I will just buy 30% after the first gallon. I don't even think they had 30% anyways.

Just a quick question that I hope can be answered before I break it in tomorrow.
Which is which needle on the O.S. carb? I know which one the hsn is, the lsn is the one right underneath it? And the idle speed screw is to the left of the HSN, it has the spring on it. So where the 2.5 lsn is not the same as the os carb?

Is your O.S a slide or rotary carb? The needle located below the HSN is your mid-range needle (don't touch this needle). At the end of your slide barrell is your throttle arm (ball stud), if you look at it from the side you'll see a screw this is your LSN. Usually HSN and LSN are located at opposite ends.

So the LSN is in the same place that it is on the 2.5.
