Pit Box
#1
I need to buy a pit box. From what I've seen at the races there are a lot of different options. Let me know which ones you like, where you got it, etc.

those both seem nice, but a little too big for me to carry around. i don't even think they would fit in my car.

Bigjs, actually they fit in any car. That's why I use it. I don't drive and either ride the bus or catch a ride with someone. The tool boxes break apart into pieces. That's what makes them so convenient. Take another look at the latches on the sides to disconnect them from each other. The handles come off and each one breaks into 3 parts.

I got the second one for $79 at Home Depot. The other one is probably $20-$25 more. The reel is very nice for outdoor racing!!! Then just buy some little parts trays. I like that they have room for tires inside. I also took an old sofa seat cushion and cut the foam to fit my radio in it. Ask Snakebite46, my box fits more stuff than anyones. It has to.

For those that asked, I got mine at Dick's sporting goods.

I keep all my shock oils, diff oils, bearings, glow plugs and smaller things in it.
I've had that one for over 1 1/2 years and holding up pretty good so far.

My box fits alot, almost too much and I got it at Ace Harware for $30. It's made by Plano. If you haven't seen it, it's BIG.

JOe,

We have the firestorm pit box. We got it at Lowes, they are orange a gray in color. I looked and tried to find a pic of it with no luck.

It is double stacked that comes apart. The top part it like a normal tool box, this carries my starter box and all my tools. The top a nice removable tool drawer that I keeep my hexes and glowplugs in, easy to take up to pit lane

The bottom is basically just an empty tub with a top drawer. The top drawer carries all my fluids, and airfilters. The bottom hold my work stand, 2 part plano boxes, 2 sets of buggies tires, and a set of mt tires and 2 saper engines in their boxes.

This all fits with the 2 pieces seperated in my hatch of my mazda 3 with the hatch cover still on, so it should fit in your car.
