Heck, I"LL buy them at that price !! Which HT? Seriously, TT, the guys here know what they cost. Do you think they would work on this deal with me at $80 if they could but it at HT for $60? BJoe, what's the scoop here? (He works for HT).

Not trying to start trouble but I have seen them go for $60.
I saw it on another forum somewhere for 60 shipped new and other places. Hobby town has them for that much all I did was so a search on transponder and this is what I found at the Crystal lake store but they are out of stock: Pro LCS Transponder, Black Edition ORI36011 I dunno much about personal transponders with what works with what system. Maybe it has to do with the make of them or a knock of version that I see them for $60. I was considering jumping in on this but right now I don't have the $$$ for one nor do I know how often I will race to warrent one. If I steped on toes here that was not my intent. Just passing on what I know.

I think I paid about $95 each from Als hobbies for the AMB's and I have 3 of them. When I first starting going to leisures, Bernie had a few for $75 each and told me Ill never find them cheaper...I never did...

Here's FACTS I can share. I am buying, as can you, 10 new Amb's, directly from Amb, at $76 each. Their site will sell you a single unit for $89 (ask Mr. Tune, he did this earlier this year). At $89 they charge you extra to ship it. My bulk purchase of ten at $760 gets shipped free. I am passing these along at $76 plus $4 handling (becuase I intend to deliver most of them to the guys at the track or some meeting point).
The net result of this will be that I get mine for something like $40 instead of $76. Anyone else who wants to handle the middleman effort on a similar deal is free to jump in. As for anyone or anywhere else that wants to sell there same item at a loss, that's a good deal for the buyer. These units are certified brand new and will have Amb warranty and acopy of the bill of sale to go along with them. I just wanted to get some "power purchasing" going so we all could benefit. Anyone who thinks the deal was bogus obviously didn't get in on it.

When I first starting going to leisures, Bernie had a few for $75 each and told me Ill never find them cheaper...I never did... And as a wholesale buyer, Bernie probabaly got a few bucks off from Amb and he was doing a solid for his racers by selling them barely over cost. How long ago was that? I remember Rocco lamentign about the same thing, that Bernie had them for $75 and then all the sudden they are $90-100. See thread "Personal Transponders WTF?"

Last year in december they were 75 at LH. January 1st they hiked the price on them. LH now sells them for 90-95.
