sporttraxx tires grip pretty good on the leisure track.

Roc, the dirt is the same as the last track! same tires work....Smile

I'll probably will be needing tires too. I accindetally teared one when unglueing Sad

What would you guys think is better:

1) Hurricanes with Pythons and Racer's Edge foams
or
2) Maxx Velocities with Bowties and Racer's Edge foams

Personally, I love the look of hurricane rims, they must be nicest ones ever made for an R/C. I know they would weight more than a set of Velocities and Bowties, but who cares.

Actually, the Hurricane wheels are really light weight, I bet they are very close to the velocities, if not the same.

Last season at the old indoor track I used Hurricane wheels with my stock Hot Bodies Stadium tires cut to fit on them. I think they hooked up pretty good, better then my other set of Hurricane / Responce tire set-up did.
I never got to try bowties indoors because I didnt buy them until the outdoor season began though.
So...I ran bowties w/ RPM Titan wheels all summer outside, nothing worked better IMO, but Im sure I'll be switching back to my Hurricane/ HB tires for indoor use.

I also just ordered a set of Velocities w/ Crime Fighters and Racers Edge foams on Monday, so I'll be giving them a try too Big Grin

Nice truck. I thought that bowties would be a much lower profile than they actually are.

I would go for bowties, RE foams, and velo's........but if you like the hurricane rims so much why not go with those and cut the bead off the tire to fit.

Yeah, the size is standard Maxx size. I hope you know that you'll need 23mm adapter for those, right? Adapters..

If you want regular 14mm wheels get these..

stick with the 14mm. the 23mm is hard on your axle ends and their are more 14mm to chose from.

why dont you want to use the stock foams that come with the bowties?

The stock foams in the bowties are good foams, they just break down too fast.

there so soft and wont last more then 5 tanks before there gone.

ok I get it thanks. that would explain why the bowties I got used would wobble. I looked at the rims and they're fine, then looked at the tire to make sure they were glued on right, and they were. then I looked at the outside of tire at the threads side and I noticed places where the foam was all flat and broken down. causing it to wobble.

so that would explain my problem that I had a long time ago.

so you guys recomend getting the racers edge 3 stage foams for maxx?

thanks, traxxas thasher

yep..... either RE, proline dark grey, Trinity 3 stage, or the Panther greens...all of those will be 100% better than the stocks and last way longer.

Oh and the Trinity 3-stage foams come with glue to glue them, it's real easy. I heard these foams outlast tires so I decided to give them a shot. I have a gallon on them so far and they still seem real firm and in good shape.
