heat it up and bend it. then screw it all together. or you could try to melt (fuse) it together but it probably wont hold very well.

Not to be discouraging...But it ain't gonna work. All my skis died, and even when they weren't busted, they didn't work well. Throw on some maxx tires and you'll be fine kyle, Travis, invest in some paddle tires for the rear.

I am going to machine some nice mounts in my metals class... hopefully within the next week or so. I think the key is to make sure the tip stays up without flipping under. I am going to try to rig up a spring to keep the tip up. Other than that I think it will be difficult to make an easy, fast pair...

The 1/4" plexi should work fine, but the biggest thing with Ski's, is turning. If you just curve the front, and try to run, it won't steer very good. You need to figure a way to put a runner down the center of the bottom of the ski's. That way, when you turn, rather than the ski's "floating" on top of the snow, the runners will "grab" the snow, and turn the truck.

Yes... the best way is to slot it with a mill and then put a runner down the middle. If you use CA all the way down it would be more than strong enough. The thing is that you need to do the bend after you mill it and cut another piece to fit the curve. The easiest way to get skis that work is to buy them... the cheapest way to get them is to take a long time making them. There is no super cheap/free, easy, and functional way...

A lot of people use plane skis and rig a mount but there is a set online somewhere that has the skis with mounts as well as the rear wheels and tires. Not sure where though... or of the price.

There are a couple of hobby shops that have the ski setups for Max's. They interlock with the Hub carriers to keep the skis stable.

racin ranger my ski's worked really nicely. as for the strip down the middle u dont need that. if u make it right when u turn ur ski's should turn on their sides and then it will turn. if u use the wood like i did. and drill the hole that attaches to the axle or w/e u call it small enough then it wont turn or rotate while ur driving. if u look at my 3rd pick u can see that it actually turned. ya so try that first and maybe u can save urself some money

another thing to try would be to make the bottom of the ski concave along it'slength like a snowboard, as the outside loads up it will dig in deeper and gain more traction, just like on a snowboard.
