The I'm better than you soap opera...
#26
I'm gonna start messing with it tonight. I just got back from al's and my wallet is another $350 lighter :o:

Got better servo's, another spektrum receiver, and some tires for the hellfire. While I was there I picked up some various shock fluids and glow plugs.

Man, I hope I don't break. I have zero parts on hand. Parts aren't exactly easilt accessible right now.

I went to Al's tonight. I was talking to them about the hellfire. They said that someone had come in and bought some tires and some other stuff. I said "John right??" They were shocked that I guessed you. Kind of funny. They have the vantage chassis I want but not enough $$ tonight. I guess both of their hellfires are gone and they are waiting on 2 more...

$110. I think he said he could go $100 though... they have 2 right now. I may get one... not sure. I think tires, a radio, and a motor are more important first. as well as a body. They let me take it out and look at it. The thing is beautiful. Super rigid too. I can get a stock chassis to flex more by trying to bend it. Real nice weave too...

FreeRideJunkie Wrote:LMAO... I wasn't trying to be cocky by any means. If he is racing the savage I have an outside chance... I think if he had a revo he would be even faster... therfore I'm glad he doesn't...

No offense dan but.... I could out race you with a revo box..... My savage is still just a savage.... A highy modded streched, lowerd, lightened and fast savage.... So if you wanna rely on the fact that you have a revo as thats the reason you have a "outside chance" then you way way wrong!

Ive beat much better racers with alot nicer trucks with alot more experince

NOW MY DISCLAIMER!!!!!!!!!

I RESPECT ALL STANDARD MT RACERS!!!! TEX, MICH, SNAKE (SOMETIMES) MAXXGS, BALT 71,FIRESPRINK, NEW GUY, Mr. TUNE AND ANYONE ELSE I MAY HAVE FORGOTEN!!!!

I mean no disrespect to you guys and dont want to come off sounding high and mighty.

BUt i will lay some smack down on a newb this weekend..... Ya know what they say about a good ass kickin! They humble you up!

Rocco... like I said man. I would have an "outside chance" and that is only because you are racing a savage I said. I don't know how else to say it and not sound like an ass. What I am trying to say is that I think you would be even faster with a modded revo than your modded savage. I was in no way putting you down, talking crap, or saying that I was a better racer than you. Trust me... nothing close to those words left my mouth. Just like I would want to beat ryan I would want to beat you. Not because I feel that I am better but because I know you guys are better and more experienced. It is called goal setting. It just makes it more fun since I actually know you guys...

only way to reach your goal is to be at practice during the week and racing on sunday. Do that consistantly for like 4 months straight and you will get 100% better garuntee'd. I did that at the old track and i improved in my driving skillz really fast because of it. Everytime you set foot on the track you will learn something new about your truck rather it be a faster line, better setup, and so on. You can ask anybody here how bad i sucked when i first started racing. I didnt know the meaning of using brakes and turning at the end of the straight away.

Be on the track as much as possible driving and you will reach your goal along with becomming a lot better driver. You can never have to much practice. You can definatly not have enough tho.

Any truck can win on any day. I watched a guy in west virgina WALK the competion with a F*%kin CEN Genisis!!!!!! The thing weighed 14.5 pounds but it screamed!!!!!

You were there for the trophy race, a good driver was wheelin a savage and he got second to Jesse wolk. and that dude flies! ( I know others who are fast broke, but hey they broke so i dont count them)

The revo is an amazing race truck with TONS AND tons of racing built into it. The TNX is also a very very fast truck and its more like a tmaxx!!!!

All im sayin is theres more than one way to skin a cat dude! In the end it will cost less to go fast with a revo. but i didnt want to go the way everybody else has

Rocco that is basically what I meant. I could modify a savage to the extent that you have and maybe race it half as good. The thing is the revo allowed me to get into racing fairly cheap and fairly competatively. I am damn proud of what I have been able to do with my experiece and plan to keep backing it up. It just sucks hearing stuff like that when you didn't even see my last a-main. Ask Kevin... I had one early crash I believe and then one at the end when I stalled. Other than that I raced the whole thing flawlessly. Consistancy wins races... Ryan has never seen me race and he still runs his mouth. That is the way he is... you saw me in my first race... I learned a lot. I think you may be a little surprised as long as I get the motor tuned fine. (Now don't take this as me talking crap and saying I am going to whoop you. Not my intention... I just don't want to be taking all of this $hit because I did well in my first 2 races. Run your mouth ryan after you run me... rocco... when we ran we broke. Lets try again.)

Dude i ran a few mains with a broken truck and did averaged about 5 seconds higher in lap times. Not to bad i think. And Dan im just playing around, no need to take anything personally unless I tell you its personal. Its all in good fun because thats what got us all in this hobby in the first place.

So in 2 races you got all the experince you need? I broke for 4 mins, and threw my $hit back out there though!

Dan. The competion will be much stiffer this weekend. will see what happens . Thats why we race the races

That is fine... it just seems like I am catching it from a lot of people because they think that you shouldn't be able to come out and do well that soon. Maybe I did enough homework before showing up to the track. I understand track time helps. I marshalled my ass of the first 2 times I was there. I learned every spot on that track. The problem spots, the different lines. Now granted I am not going to hit them perfect every time but I have a darn good idea of where I should be and how to get through a turn faster than the guy in front of me now. I learned how to pass without crashing through the tabletops, coming off of the back straight... I know the track well. If my motor runs well I will be fine... just wait. I am not saying I will TQ and blow you guys away. I think with my little track time you may be a little surprised though...
