it was a decent engine. Had a great power curve on it. Discontinued because the manufacturer doesnt want to make it anymore.

it was disc. because the Sirio .23 was introduced.
I ran a Sirio.18 for 8 gallons and loved it. The revo that took second on the Jan.29th race was powered by a Sirio.18

I've had mine for since it's release, wasn't impressed ,but the more tanks I ran, the more power it seemed to pickup. I've got less than 3/4 of a gallon on this puppy if even that and Im liking it alot more now-a-days. I've heard that they really open up at 1 gallon mark so we'll see. about it's dicontinuence, like Tex said, they released a drop in .23 for the Maxx I think for the same price or cheaper.

It's a good motor for the most part guys.
Max, you need more gas through that thing and keep trying to fine tune it everytime you use it.
I would have to recommend this motor, it treated me very well for a whole season.

I know Tex had around 9-10 gallons on a Sirio and it was still pretty reliable. Also, Lakemax had 11 or more gallons through his.
I read somewhere that it took some work to get the sirio in a Revo, which doesn't make sense to me since it is a small block, and was able to drop right in to a Maxx.

newguy on the bottom of the case there are fins that stick out to much and wont let the motor get inside the motor mount. Those need to be ground down for the motor to be able to tighten down all the way.

what about grinding the motor mount instead of the crankcase? it'd be cheaper to replace if needed.

Thanks for clarifying Ryan, I thought I read something about it, just wasn't sure what the problem was.

InteGAY sucks...... I had that 3 shoes clutch, lasted about 1/2 gallon. Stock Traxxas clutch will work good Max and it'll last the life of the motor in most cases.

Agreed. I finally got rid of the original one and put on my second 2 weeks ago. I had bought the truck back in June last year. The only reason I even changed it was because the spring was a little rusted and I was afraid it might break on me. Otherwise I would have put at least another gallon through it .

Your better off with the stock TRX clutch.
