Hey Mike:
After talking to some LST guys… everyone thinks that the post holes will tear first time out. And I agree.
Think I will have to keep this body as a shelve queen. Unless there is a rectangle shaped piece that is glued across left to right. The way Losi designed that body for the LST, the piece that was cut out acts as a body stiffener, and makes the rear of the shell ridged between the post holes. Take that out, and I will not be able to run the LST with a wing as well which I don't want to do. I might ask you to try something like that, and then paint it. But don’t know how what that would look finished once it was painted?
So, how about this? Send me the shell as is… and I place a new order for a 2nd body. I will keep this one fresh, and as a display body never to be run on the truck.
What kind of deal can we work out on this 2nd order, and what would be the time line?

P.S. Not mad dude… chit happens. Like I said, have over 2K in this truck already and it’s not about the money. Just want to have the best painted shell I can “run” on this rig. And I am sticking to my guns… you are the man I want to paint my colors!

I will paint a piece of lexan the green and white and put it in with the body, so u can sut it or whatever and try to fit it in there.

So how did that work? People buy the shell and you'd paint it out for them demostrating various techniques? The youngster looks pretty happy!

Parma supplied us with a bunch of bodies and some paint along with a bunch of paint masks, we gave away all the bodies and paint masks, and the kid put on some flames masks and wanted me to paint it up for him, the other one (SUV) i put the masks on and painted it up with a few different techniques on it, they didnt come out great, pretty good for a 30 min paint job lol

a free t-maxx? why didnt ya say so i would have taken it. it would have been on ebay so fast it would make ur head spin lol. that looked like a sweet demo. i have no clue where als is tho. you should set something up at lh i think alot of people would go to that one....

mike post a link so we can email parma and thank them for the paint demo.
If they get like 30-40 emails saying it was awesome and they should do it again maybe they will have another one. I'll go to it, I wanna learn more about painting bodies. I should have went to this past one it looks like. I'm about to paint a body soon, trying to tackle it myself and I could of used a little demo.
