Because we are known in the sports world as TRUE FANS! We will cheer for our team no matter what they are doing! "MOST"(<----see the "most" here) are fair weather fans and will only cheer for the sox when they are winning! 2 years ago if you went to a sox game there were 20,000 people max at the game. Now you go and it almost capacity!!! You tell me how many have been there through the bad years!! Every cubs fan has and will stand by them win or lose, and we will kick the S!@t out of any fair weather fans ''IF" they ever win a world series!!!!

Detroit is playin AMAZING. No excuses here. They have some great coaching but I don't think it will last. The funny thing is that the sox can still have the second best record in the league and be in second in their division. I think we know which division is the hard one now.....

That's what I have been saying. The Sox ownership saw that the fans were not happy with the way the team was playing, and finally realized that they had to spend money to make money... J/K Tommy, I know this wasn't your point, but it makes sense.

Even the Cubs announcers commented on the major differences between the Sox and Cubs. The 2 biggest being:

The Cubs roster has 9 decent starters, but little backup. If someone gets hurt, it hurts the team, because their Bench isn't strong enough. The Sox have a strong enough bench, that if someone gets hurt, their replacement can benefit the team as well.

Another point they made, is about both teams "Hustle". On a "Routine" base hit, the Cubs Trot to the base, the Sox run hard to base. They show a little more aggressiveness on the "routine" plays, which can force an error.

These are points made by Cubs announcers.

You say that because of the cards. The sox or detroit are like the cards.... the best in their division. The other teams are struggling to keep up, much like the cubs. The only reason cubs fans say its a hard division is they can't compete with a good team. Just like the others in the sox division....

Oh no you mean the sox aren't in first place anymore?!?, have you checked to see where the Cubs are? and I can see being loyal to your team, but why make up all of these stupid excuses as to why the lose all the time, why can't you just accept that they aren't the best team in baseball and will lose 75% of their games.
