Uhh....Revo's don't need rollcages. There's a rollbar and a thing called a body.

If you really think you need a rollcage, check out http://www.rc-solutions.com

Wait no you have the extended revo so I don't think there's a roll cage out there made for extended revos.

You have the 3.3 right? That chassis is ext 30mm over the stock 2.5 chassis

Just get ideas from searching around the net and mock it up, and make your real version

Put a wing on your truck, and your engine will never touch the ground again. This means no more scratched head, broken engine mount, broken easy start, etc. Plus your bodies will last 10 times longer.

The whole only cost around $20. Much cheaper than a roll cage. Plus wings look cool too.

Yep

I'd go with the Mugen MBX-4/MBX-5 mount..More durable IMO

Just mock it on the rear body mount, drill your 4 holes, and screw and locknut eveything

i do like the look f the wing and was thinking about one. does anyone have a link? how would it prtocet the engine mount?

it will protect the engine mount cuz it will keep the engine from hitting anything so no stress anywhere on the motor or its mounting point

Check out my avatar. There's no way the engine can hit the ground with that setup, because it will sit between two higher objects. Plus, on every rc car I've ever owned, the rear of the body takes the most punishment. That's the first part that got destroyed, causing me to need a new body. With a wing, that's no longer an issue either Smile.

Here's a link with pictures of wing installs. http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.ph...light=mbx4

If you don't want to custom fab anything major, pick up One of these mounts. Bolts directly to the body posts, all you have to do is get a wing and drill the holes on that. Easy.

I wouldn't mount the wing high like they are on the Traxxas forums..I put my top holes where they have their bottom holes..

Grind down the rear bumper mount and drill the holes there..To where it's about an inch or so above the stock body height

This is how mine was..http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d192/B...ics029.jpg

And don't cut up the rear of the body that much..I was in a hacking mood with my new dremel that day Smile

Oh, I thought it was one on top, other on bottom? Oh well...The wing is gone anyway

How is it supposed to be?

Land right side up and you wont break those parts.... If you run the roll bar it shouldnt happen anyway and a wing or rollcage probably wont help you. (Wing might a little) The only time I ever broke a motor mount on my revo was when I took the roll hoop off and did half backflip onto the parking lot.......

You can easily break an engine mount, even with the stock roll bar. I did it twice. If you land on the engine, kiss the engine mount goodbye. Not every landing will put you directly on the lid. Tilt it a little and you engine is gonna smack the ground. A wing will prevent this. My proof is that since the wing, I have never even scratched the head, ever!

I have scratched my 3.3's head with a wing on Tune....Oh well I'd rather have a flexable wing than one that snaps the first time I roll over.
