Even though the new Mustangs don't look that bad, the camaros are just going to blow them out of the water as far as the performance goes. The most powerful motor you can get in the Mustang is just under the second most powerful motor you can get in the new Camaro. With the LS2 (I think) in the Camaro it has a 0-60 time in under 3.2 seconds.

Remember though.... that is the Corvette, not the Camaro. The Z06 has a lot more done to the entire powertrain than just slapping that motor into a Camaro, not to mention the weight reduction. I can see a Vette doing it in the future, not a Camaro.....

It will use the vette motor, not the Z06 motor. I will say it again, the Camaro will never be as fast as the Vette. As Chevy you cannot have a cheaper, lower model car, take out your top dog. It won't happen,

Unless it's a very limited edition that costs as much as a Corvette. Chevy is famous for outrageously priced options on the cars that only a few people ever knew about or ordered.

I guess we can keep debating it with our best guesses, or we can wait and see what they do.

let me do some research i thought i remembered reading something to the fact they where toying around with using one of the bigger truck engines modified to fit in the camaro and badging as a Z-28 like back in 68 with the 396 big block engine but im not totally positive.

OK, but my point is its going to be fast, I know the camaro will never be as fast as a Vette, but the Vettes are roughriding rattletraps, I would prefer to have the camaro over the vette any day.
