I don't see what would be wrong with that.

I am just not sure if the heat of the motor would like melt or just break down the filter and if it can get enough air to the motor.

Even if i do, it still wouldn't make a difference. It's not like it sticks out any farther than a "normal" foam.

itll be fine, use a shock spring and crank it into the filter neck to keep it from folding back on it self and pinching off ur air flow, or use a return spring to hold it toward the back of the car

Thanks, Mike. I bought a header spring. I'll have to see if that will work.
The shock spring would go IN the air filter neck?

Let me know how that works Mike. I still got plenty of maxx springs too...LOL I havent tried it yet... I've been running the S bend since beginning of outdoor season this year. No problems and it seems the filter stays alittle cleaner. I also use the RB outer filters once in awhile.

The only thing I see that would bother me is the hot air that will be now going into the motor instead of colder air like when your filter pointed forward.

i have the same neck on my hyper. the foam will not melt on the engine head. it will take its shape between the fins of the head but it wont melt. let me know how that spring works tho. i get worried about the neck colapseing with a body too.
Same 'ol Fun!

Couldn't get the maxx shock to fit. Even if you can jam the spring in there, I think it would stretch the neck to much and be easier to rip or put a hole in it.
