Asked that at their forums. Should have an answer soon if someone does not post it here. Also asked about rules. Seeing that is park district property. I know their rules will come into play also.

From their site about the track. I agree with him and I understand.
The links don't work because I haven't seen any of that info yet. I REALLY hope that any of you guys that are coming from any distance at all, come just to run your cars and have fun. It is my opnion that our club is nowhere near ready to start hosting and appealing to out of town guys. This weekend is the first race. The guys running the races have no experience running races of the size we are gonna see out there. There are a ton of guys that will be there that haven't raced anywhere, or only on our local scene which hasn't amounted to much the last few years.
This track is very much in the incubator stage and will require a few weeks (at least) to get the kinks worked out, and some sort of regiment established. I hate for you guys to come up or down here and leave with the impression that we are a bunch of country boys without a clue. We only get one chance to make a first impression with you guys and this is not the ideal time to try to do that.
I am not saying don't come, I am just saying expect some kinks in the iron, and then hopefully you won't be disappointed if shit happens. Some will probably be pissed off that I am saying this, but it's an honest opinion and I only have the best interest of the track in mind. I very much want this track to amount to something, and the last thing we need is to start off with people leaving here with a bad taste in their mouth.
There is a quick stop type gas station just a mile or two up the road from the track. There is a McD's and a Hardees about 5 miles back towards Peoria, and a Taco John, hardees, McD's, Subway and a Dairy Queen about 10 miles towards Chillicothe.

I'm thinking the most it will cost is may $12 or so I think. I know back in the pt days it was $12 to race, maybe its $10 even. I can speak for the guys running the races but that is my guestimate till I know other wise

So has anyone decided if they are going this weekend? I am stuck between LH and here. I will be honest,I am leaning more towards their track but only because I have to be down that way around 5 to drop off my son.

dude I had issues to man, big shock there, lol.
1st I came to practice the night before and noticed I didn't have any brakes. great now what. well turns out my throttle servo took a crap. because I got there a little late I missed the 1st qualifier, no big deal there. I start the truck for the 2nd one, warmed it up a little, and somewhere right before the race my steering servo went south as well. all in a days racing for me. it was cool to watch dom, and mike fly over the triples, JT as well. well back to the drawing board I guess.

Revo problems-
1st heat-Pivot ball popped out(first time for that, bad landing is what I am thinking).
2nd heat- Throttle servo decides to go out.
Main- Steering linkage breaks about 9min in. Cant figure out how. I went into the corner tube with steering, got picked up and didnt have steering when I was put on the track.
ST-1, Overheating is what I am told. Ran out of plugs(blond moment and forgot the 3 extras I have)
I will go to the site and say I am sorry for smacking a guy in the head with my revo. I didnt see him till the last minute and by that time I was already commited to the triple in back. So only thing in my mind was 'gun it' to clear him. Almost did,but he started to walk back off the track and my rear tire hit him in the head.

yeah dude it could have been the whole truck. I was at a race last year in bloomington, and watched a dude get drilled in the back of the head of one of those triples, talk about a sickening thud, man that was sick. the dude had a huge knot on the back of the head, but he was ok eventually.
casket-sorry I didn't meet you or see who you are so I can put a name with a face, I didn't get to talk to much was to busy fixing my crt to have much time to talk
czech-what happened to your trugg ?

I had the throttle servo go on the Revo on the last heat. Dropped in another one. Same problem. Someone let me borrow a Jr 270 and it worked fine for the main. Those other two servo's were left over from when I had my spek. Worked fine untill yesterday.

czech-I know what your talking about radio problems, I kind of thought I had the same damn problem the night before in practice, but realized basically my throttle servo was trashed.
now what sucks is that to fix my airtonics 94161 it would cost me $31 for gears, damn man for $20 on top of that I can get a brand new servo, its rediculous what these people charge. the 2 servo's I lost yesterday were the jr550, and the air one, and I also burned up a jr 650 a couple months ago:mad:

mine just kept kicking into fail safe, tried a new reciever new battery and everything even bypassed the switch, its gotta be a servo problem
