I used to sell tires at Discount Tire back in the day...lol
I would just stick to the stock size if you can.
The 50 number is the sidewall height with a 40 being a shorter side wall.
As Im sure you know, the shorter sidewall will give you a sportier ride, but you'll feel the cracks in the road more then you would with the 50's.
That, and like Tune said it will through your speedo off just a hair.
The Yokohama would be a good tire, but Im not sure how good.
Michelin tires are real nice too.
I would stay away from Kumho's though, their just cheap tires that dont hold up and will get noisy on you after some miles.
I know of people that were not happy after putting some miles on them.
Oh and yeah, the GY RSA's ®eally (S)uck (A)$$ lol
too many auto makers put them on as standard too
