its really quite simple. You basically need the 1st number you pick
multiplied by 100. Then you add a random number to that. Then have
people add a number to get it such that the total becomes 2006 for
people who already had their birthday and 2005 for those who havent.
Then, when you subtract your birth year, you get your age plus the
original number times 100.
ex:
x is the number you picked from 1-10.
Multiply by 20. ( 20x )
Add 69 (20x + 69)
Multiply by 5 (100x + 345) (See how the original number x has now been
mutiplied by 100?)
Add 1661 if you've had your birthday, 1660 if not. (notice how 345+1661
= 2006 and 345+1660 = 2005. These are the years of your last
birthday. So you get 100x+2006 and 100x+2005.)
Now subtract the year you were born. (you will get your age + 100x.
This results in the original number x being in the hundreds spot (1st
number) and your age next.)
