Hahaha!!! I know exactly what you mean. I am that way with Guitar Hero though.
My buddy and I had 2 of the best pong games this past weekend though. One we were going back and forth and we each had one cup left. Then on our turn we both sunk it to win. That was awesome. Then we played the undefeated champs of the house or whatever and slaughtered them. We still had 4 cups left.
