define "semi-pro"
does that mean you have some sponsors but you don't race for a living?
"pro" means your job is to race and you get paid pretty well for it.
There are numerous (like 20) "semi pro" sponsored drivers in the chicagoland area. That's just an estimate. I'm not too sure if there are any "pro" drivers.
Then you have the "amature" racers which is what most of us are. If you race all the time and you are half way decent then your an "amature" in my book.
