I didn't mean to start a holy war, I orginally grew up on the southside and was a diehard Sox fan until 94 when those greddy bastards went on strike. But it on May 6, 1998 I was taken to a Cubs game where Kerry Wood racked up 20Ks against the Astros. That's what drew me back to baseball, and yes so do did homerun chase between Sosa (juiced) and McGuire (majorly juiced). UP until then I could care less about proball. Then in 1999 I went to Comiskey again and meet a few players before the game, namely Paul Konerko, Ray Durham, and Frank Thomas. Paulie was one the coolest guys in the world, my bother and I have a pic with him and he had the team sign a few balls for us. And then my love of the Sox started to return. But I can honestly say I like both teams but for different reasons. the Cubs becasue Wrigley Field is baseball they way it used to be, pure. The Sox because they play ball right, small and don't rely on the big bat. People say that it is impossible to like both, this is not true. They both represent Chicago, and deserve everybody's support. But when it comes to football there only two teams I root for on pro and college level. Pro is DA BEARS, and College level has to be Norte Dame GO IRISH!
