And you have almost nothing to lose, just the listing cost. But you do have to go through a hassle of an Unpaid Item if they won't pay, otherwise you still pay a Final Value Fee based on the sale price. That's why the guy HAS TO leave neg fb, to avoid paying those costs.
EBay does not moderate disputes. If you have a problem, you have to pay Square Trade or get a lawyer involved to collect your sales. I had a guy reneg on a $3550 motorcycle I listed. Even for that much money it isn't worth the legal hassles to enforce the "legally binding contract" thatyou enter into when you bid on eBay. And everyone knows it. That's why scammers like this guy are running their games.
If you are going to try it, don't tarnish any existing account you have with eBay, start a new one.
