Does anyone fly helicopters?

Whitey04 Wrote:Yeah sometimes helicopters have a way of walking away from you if your focusing on one thing to long so alot of room is never a bad thing. You know I stopped by a hobby store and talked to some guy about a t-rex and after everything was said and done it was like 1000 dollars. I had to scrap my mouth off the floor. I think I'm just gonna stick with the blade pro for know. I feel confident enough to fly that. Not only that but e-flite makes a flat blade for it they say makes the heli alittle less agile. But the main blades that come on the heli are meant to to be fast. I just don't see the point in dumping a g on a heli I'm definitely going to crash at some point. Let me know when your gonna fly I'd like to see it, if you want company that is.

Whitey, I've been doing some thinking here.. you can pick up a T-rex 450sa for about 2 bones, add everything else, you can get it into the air for right at 6 bones... not real bad.. the SA has great reviews, seems to be plenty of heli for what I'll do...

the other option (the one I'm going to take I think) is Hobbytown in Orland Park sells this same heli as a RTF version, complete with Spektrum DX6, Li-po, morots and everything, 699 plus tax... I'm thinking that I probably do not want to set the thing up, so I'm going to go RTF...

and besides all of that crap.. Big Grin look at the parts cost, blades for the t-rex, 13 bucks... that's better than the 25 I'm paying now.. I'm looking to actually slow down everything and think a bigger heli is going to be the ticket with the weight..

and yeah, if you want to get together and fly (or crash) sometime, let me know.. the untalented mothers like Bubba and Addicted will never be able to figure this stuff out, so I'm going to have to find a new crowd to hang with when I'm in a heli mood.. Big Grin
