Here is another link. This guy is also working at largescalerc. He builds these cars himself by hand mostly. His cars are race winners in the 1/4 scale on-road series, as he is a 1/4 scale past champ himself. I would say most are hand built by few mfgs.. The 1/5 scale off-road are a ton of fun. The best way to describe it is, it's weight & size makes it drive nearly totally realistic. Cool to hang the rear out with a 5b in a 180 & let it hook up & rocket down a straight. Traction is way better at around 40lbs. The torque of the big engines & clutches with the weight = closer to real scale power to weight ratios.
