we'd tracked a couple over time, but that falls under that "we don't talk about it" stuff
from what i have read on the sub russia used inferoir parts on the sound deadning stuff and it is supposed to be quiter then the seawolf class but the material losses its acouistic absorbing qualities over time, russia use inferior material???? never would have thought that one
they also say the akula is probably the fastest sub at over 30knt underwater
the one thing about russia is everyonce in a while they make some real good stuff, like there jet fighter that has thrust vectoring on it, they have had it for quite some time, way ahead of us
example look at this plane ,its the biggest plane built and it was used to transport the bootleg version of the space shuttle that russia copied from us, only thing is this plane is so big it carries the space shuttle in its cargo bay where the US mounts one on top of i believe a 747, so that gives you an idea of how big this thing reallyis
