I know Jimbo and a few others were wondering about what they used to fix the face of the triple. Well I asked and this is what scott told me.
Drew the dirt we used to patch the triple was just some river clay. What made it stay there was how it was applied. I brushed off the loose dirt that was in the area that needed patched and then put some water over it to get the area wet. I had mixed some water into the clay I was using earlier so I could form it. Then we just pressed it into the area by hand in small amounts to make it stick. Once the area was filled I sprinkled the Diamond Dry over it so I could use a tamper to make the finial shape. The Diamond Dry kept it from sticking to the tamper and then dried out the patch so the top surface became hard rather quick. Hope that helps.
