Could possibly just spray a stock LS3 09 Camaro into the 10's. Then again, the LS3 has just been announced, no idea how much the heads are flowing, or what the cam profile is like. It'll probably have 12* intake ports like the LS7 does now.
Can't wait till GM starts getting serious about VVT geometry with the LSx series engines. The heads have enough flow to support some pretty radical cams, and variable cam technology would let them take advantage of it. They've already got the technology to do variable cam profiles in a single cam pushrod engine, the Viper has been using it for a while.
I am going to go out on a limb and say that the Camaro WILL NOT BE RUNNING 10s. Why? Does the corvette run them? Not the last time I checked. Factory stock they were running somewhere in the 11's. Chevy CANNOT release a car that will outrun the Vette. Just my prediction. Does that mean that it could not easily go 10's? Absolutely not. Factory stock, don't think so.
