I'm on the other side of the Big Lake, over in Kalamazoo. I found this site from another member who had posted it on another forum site. I still know a lot of people over there and I buy a lot of my parts from a guy that runs a hobby shop out of his house, Gary Preusse. If you go into the IMPBA site and look at the records, his name is all over the place.
The Illini Powerboaters quit using that site and had moved to a pond outside of Chicagoland Speedway but lost that site due to new track owners from what I've heard. The club that ran at Silver Springs lost that one due to one noise complaint or a Park Ranger with an attitude. Too bad as the host club there was one of the oldest in the US and folded up after losing the pond.
I've heard that you can find boaters running almost every weekend at Ida Lake/Lake Ida although they have a weed problem there.
I'm one of the boat Mod's over at RC Universe so if you can't find me here, go over there. I hate promoting the site that I work at because they really don't like us to talk about competing forum sites unless there is a direct link to a thread that answers a question and even though being a Mod, I don't like to advertise it that much outside that site.
There are/were a few Miss Pringles kits around at one time. I remember an electric version from (I think) MRP about 8 or so years ago and some 1/8 scale nitro hydros. The electric version is probably a collectable by now.
