Ok, I admit I'm a rookie when it comes to onroad cars. I would like to set up my TC4 to run novice level. Mainly I was just running my car in a parking lot near the house. Now I would like to try at a track. I amd probaly go to IRP in Dekalb for now, since LH is closed for now. I was wondering what type of things should I have for my car and stuff. So far I have a TC4 all stock. Stock 24mm wires and tires(rubber), a Hitec steering servo, reciever, and radio. I have a 16-30 pinion gear set from robinson racing. I just picked up a new body, the Protoform Pontiac G6. I still up in air on what stock motor to use, I was thinking Trinity P2K2 or Green Machine 3. I'm also up in the air on which ESC to get, I have narrowed down to Novak Dually or the GTX. I'm going to stay away from brushless(since I was trouble with it, and it is a separete class). Batteries are taken care of GP3300, and GP3700. I was also reading some of the post on the IRP forum board, and they where talking about cs-27 tires/wheels? What exactly are those, and where can I get a set?
I was going to head out there next weekend hopefully to start practicing, but I want to get a few practice seesions under my belt before I enter any race. I want to make sure I can handle my car correctly and not damage anybody elses or my car. I know 2wd stadium truck stuff, but Touring Cars are a whole new beast, that all started with a 4-tec.
Any tips or suggestions would be great!
