I've never done good in my "english" classes (which are apparently all READING or so it seems so far), just managing to pass...So I went to my dean or whatever she is...And she basicallly said you would have to meet up with EACH honors teacher on my own time, and discuss with them why I want to get out of JUST honors english... So basically go humiliate yourself infront of a bunch of teachers and then have your parents sign it too, THEN you have to have some large conference with all of them together. Some major BS right there.
That is some major B.S. there. I would do it anyway. The reason being nothing more than my plate is full and I want out of that class. But at that age, my parents were supportive of my educational efforts and if I made the decision to drop something, they knew that I was the best judge of that. I have never heard of a public school with that kind of red tape.
Good luck with your summer homework and keep looking forward to graduation.
