It will however fit on a truggy chassis that has buggy arms and tires. Which is what the mutant I'm building will use.
I like the way it looks. I've always liked cars that look closer to scale, but haven't found anything durable really. With this body I can complete the mutant and have trophy truck in my collection.
Personally, I am not bothered in the least by the fact that its not "innovative". Why try to reinvent the wheel for what essentially has no competative class, or market yet. You can't race it with the truggies, and you can't race it with the buggies.
Also, the 8th scale platform for buggies/truggies is already a stout setup that offers a good trade off of handling vs durability, and ground clearance.
I totally agree. After all, in the beginning the truggy was nothing more than a bastardized buggy. Who knows, maybe they will find way, as they did with truggy, to further refine this vehicle. Much the way the truggy has become it's own animal.
By innovative I meant it would have been cool to try and replicate the 1:1 version a little closer. But in the end it;s still a cool ride.
I never thought about the length. Good point. But it would be pretty cool if it fit!
What are you using as a chassis for your mutant? CRT?
