Well alot depends on the motor, the car, and your driving style. Most MFG dont leave much room for adjustment with the clutches which is why i run the M2C racing setup. Generally the stiffer the spring the later the engagement which will give you more snap on the bottom end. A heavier shoe will engage sooner giving you softer bottom end. And material wise a hard shoe will generally slip a bit before it fully grabs which will give you a later but usually smoother engagement. Thats just the tip of the ice berg really. With the M2C stuff you can chose b/w springs from like .9 - 1.1 in increments of .05. Shoes come in 3 different materials and 3 different weights as well
