Yes us corn folk cant drive for crap,
Wow dirt oval, I havent done that in years.
kenji, If I get time ill take ya up on the offer, been a long time since i raced on a rug, not since LH has the track over in Lockport. I started racing on carpet, and have seen alot of onroad racers try offroad and just cant hang. Its differnt lines and driving styles, I have been to my share of onroad races, AJS, RC mania, hobbytown indy when they had a track, trackside, some parking lot stuff(YUK!!!!!!!!) carpet oval, carpet offroad, Arnold remembers that when I coulnt get the damn losi car to turn on carpet!!! Over 10 yrs of racing and with a screwed up eye I still can put down some laps, just cant race as much anymore due to family and work .
I just prefer dirt, go all out on stuff, touring cars are expensive now, and were back in the day, tire/liner of the week, fresh motor if u ran stock, if u ran mod u pretty much got spanked but the factory drivers, battery wars, all that turned me away from carpet. Offroad, build a car, get a decent setup and tires, pretty much dont dont hit shit or do donkey flips and you do well .
