I keep a scary big knife in the car for emergencies. It won't cut a bullet, but it sure will make a punk think twice about asking for my wallet.
It's also funny/stupid/unfair that some people get to apply for concealed carry permits because they "work in hazardous areas" of the city. I know a building inspector who has to go into the CHA projects...he has one. I go into armpits of the worst cities in 7 states for my job...real industrial wastelands....but it's illegal for me to toss a pistol in my briefcase in case I should be in trouble? that's hogwash. I still do it if I know the area is really unsafe.
Better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6.
