With the way Illinois laws are set, if someone were to break into your house and you were to pull a gun on them, YOU would be brought up on felony charges. IF you were to use the gun in defense, you stand to serve more time in prison than the thug who breaks into your house, threatening you and your family. No government should make a law abiding citizen choose between a hospital bed and a prison cell.
