same here but with GM cars.. first car was a fiero, then all camaros. I've never had a winter beater just a second set of rims with snow tires on them. No serious problems except one winter I got caught in a storm the day before the new snow tires came in. What was worse about that was it was my old 98 LS1 that had 315/35r17's in the rear and 275/40's in the front and they were Yokohama AO32R road race tires. The car stayed in the parking lot at work that evening. Heck my v6 was lowered 2.5" with a Koni coilover adjustable shock setup and I still drove it in the winter. I sure did plow a lot of snow with the front air dam.
